Summer On The Gulf of Mexico
As an organization with multiple service center locations spanning South Texas and Louisiana, and hundreds of employees living and working in this area, Bottom Line Equipment is deeply rooted in the cultural charm of the gulf coast region. We work here. We live here. We happily enjoy the festive atmosphere that makes this region unlike any other. Great food, family, music, the great outdoors, and the satisfaction of a hard day’s work that we share with our customers all connect us and keep us going about our business with smiles on our faces.

A Hurricane Way of Life
Sometimes the price we pay for living it up down south is paid back in challenges only we can truly understand. We’ve seen first-hand how nature can unleash on us with wind, rain, and flooding that tears apart entire cities literally overnight. In August 2005, Category 5 Hurricane Katrina caused billions of dollars in damage to the New Orleans area. Harvey dumped catastrophic rain levels on the Houston area for 4 days straight in 2017. Laura and Ida and others caused similar damage, leaving a big pile of debris, bent metal, sticks, wood, and garbage of every shape and size behind for us all to remember. Those affected by Hurricane Laura even had the added complexity of recovering from a hurricane during a pandemic which proved to be quite a challenge.
In response to these disasters, countless local heroes sprang into action and stepped up to assist their local communities. Government disaster agencies like FEMA and insurance companies converged to provide aid. Ordinary citizens sprang into action to help others. Organizations like the Cajun Navy, the National Guard, and many others rescued those in peril and kept cities safe.
Storm Recovery Efforts
At Bottom Line, our heavy equipment, specialty attachments, and operational abilities are naturally going to be helpful when a storm or hurricane disaster strikes. The trees, power poles, and building materials scattered about by a hurricane require heavy equipment to remove. Flood damage often requires large-scale digging and trenching equipment to remedy. Concrete and metal debris needs to be demolished and removed in mass.

Bottom Line’s fleet of equipment and specialty attachments are used to do this work. Plus, our ability to keep our fleet performing safely day-in and day-out and swiftly deploy equipment anywhere across the gulf region positions us to successfully support recovery efforts.

Our service center in St. Rose, LA was established directly following Hurricane Katrina and served as the command center for recovery efforts following multiple other storms since. Our largest Service Center in Baytown, TX was the support hub in the Houston area following Harvey. Our Sulphur, LA Service Center served as the base of recovery operations following Hurricane Laura in Lake Charles.
Bottom Line Is There
As we enter another Hurricane Season in the South, let’s remember we’re in this together. All of us at Bottom Line Equipment are ready and willing to help when the time to help comes our way.
